Cheers to the friggin’ Weekend!
Hey Rockstar!
It's the weekend already!
This isn't going to be your regular dose of early morning motivation; we've done that enough already. Instead, I want to congratulate you for making it through another work week - challenges and all.
As I always mention, it's no small feat to be an entrepreneur, and with that truth in mind, I want to encourage you to rest and relax as much as you can over the next few days.
Nevertheless, we wouldn't be The Morning Brew if we didn't have a few tips for you, would we?
That said, here's my personal recipe to help you relax, blow off some steam, and enjoy the weekend!
Tip One
Channel your inner lazy cat
That's right. Indulge in some serious rest and relaxation. Hang that hammock in your backyard or set it up in your living room if you're feeling extra fancy. Don't forget the tropical drink with a tiny umbrella to complete the vibe. Pro tip: If you're feeling adventurous, throw in some gentle swaying and pretend you're on a deserted island – no emails, no Zoom calls, just you and the sound of the waves (even if it's just a white noise app).
Tip Two
Go on a "Tech Detox Safari"
Unplug and let your devices hibernate for a bit. Shut down your laptop, silence your phone, and step away from the screens. Instead, venture into the wild (or your local park) and embark on a "Tech Detox Safari." Take a leisurely stroll, breathe in the fresh air, and marvel at the wonders of nature (or the cityscape if you're a city slicker). Leave your gadgets behind and let your brain recharge without the constant notifications and pings.
Step three
Treat yourself like royalty
As an entrepreneur, you're the king or queen of your business kingdom. So why not indulge in some royal treatment? Pamper yourself with a spa day, complete with a bubble bath, face mask, and a fluffy robe. Treat yourself to a decadent meal, either by dining out at your favorite restaurant or ordering in from that fancy new place you've been eyeing. And don't forget dessert – after all, you deserve it for conquering the business world like a boss!
Step four
Embrace your inner child
Remember those carefree days of your childhood when you could spend hours doing things just for the sheer joy of it? Well, it's time to tap into that childlike wonder again. Bust out your old board games, fly a kite, build sandcastles at the beach, or simply lie down and stare at the clouds. Let go of adulting for a moment and let yourself play and have fun without any worries or deadlines looming over you.
In all that you do, remember that taking time to rest and rejuvenate is not only good for your physical and mental health but also for your business in the long run. So go ahead, take a break, and come back to your entrepreneurial endeavors with a fresh perspective and a rejuvenated spirit.
Cheers to the friggin' weekend and see you on the call today!
Angela.
